



Open Arms Food Pantry and Resource Center will be hosting our 10th annual Los Angeles
Black History Month festival will be taking place at the La Brea Tar Pits on February 21
2026. This is a community-based event that offers several areas of activation
including the Brain Power of Health Fair that will implement health screenings,
mental wellness resources, social service referrals, and children's services.
Other areas will include Soccer Stars play zone, brand awareness areas, sponsorship zones,
and main stage that will host live performing artists, Afrikan marketplace, and notable
speakers.
The month of February which is National Black History Month, serves to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black individuals and communities, promote awareness of their history, and address ongoing issues of racism and inequality while also promoting healthy communities.
